Father Robs Store with Young Daughter

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Talk about f–ked up family values.  No matter how much money one nets from the robbery, think how much you lose as a father!  The surveillance video shows a young girl who looks terrified.

Sherrif’s deputies say they have identified a man suspected of robbing convenience store at gunpoint with his 9-year-old daughter at his side.

Kittitas County Undersheriff Clayton Myers said phone tips from people who saw the story on the news helped investigators identify the man as 42-year-old Robert Daniel Webb of Everett.

The robbery that prompted the investigation occurred at the AM/PM Mini Mart just off I-90 at exit 101 around 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Myers said the man believed to be Webb approached the counter, drew a gun and demanded money from the register. The clerk complied and the man then left with the little girl, whom police have identified as Meadow, without further incident.

“I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a little girl with her dad on an armed robbery,” Myers said. “How anyone could endanger a child like that? You never know how someone is going to react when you pull a firearm out. How the clerk’s going to react, somebody walking in? Absolutely can’t even imagine it…”

Two Surrender in Home Invasion Murder

Friday, July 17th, 2009

This sounds like a well-planned crime.  A woman shacks up with the victim the night before, the helps her real boyfriend break into the guy’s house and murder him.  She turned herself in shortly thereafter.  Not a bright move, Terri.

Two people sought in connection with the June slaying of a man during a home invasion surrendered to police.

Terri Nicole Rehm, 23, and Jesse Dean Sattarella, 21, surrendered Tuesday on arrest warrants in connection with the June 25 slaying of Richard Bradley Tucker, 38, who was found in his bed at his home near Lake Hefner with a gunshot wound to the neck. Police say Rehm was part of a plot to rob Tucker and that she had been with him in his bedroom the night before her boyfriend and two other men busted into the house and shot Tucker.

Rehm and Sattarella were booked into the Oklahoma County jail without bail on complaints of murder and robbery with a firearm.

On Friday, police arrested Bradley Scott Sanders, 25, on a first-degree murder complaint in connection with Tucker’s killing.

Police were still searching Tuesday for James Elton McCandless, 24, in connection with Tucker’s death. First-degree murder and robbery with a firearm warrants were issued for McCandless Monday…

Cheerleader Robs Little Kids

Saturday, July 11th, 2009

I know it’s not the popular ‘I’m-so-outraged’ posture but there is something really hot about a cheerleader on a crime spree.  Sadly, the victims in this case were tiny little entrepeneurs.  One has to wonder what motivated this young lady’s crime spree?  Drugs, abortion, gambling debts…?  Ahhh, the ambitions of today’s youth!

A 17-year-old high school cheerleader accused of robbing young children at a July 4th pool party is out of jail.

Defense attorney Mike Moran, who represents 17-year-old Chelsea Steele, tells 11Alive’s Paul Crawley his client has posted a $5,000 bond on a robbery charge.

On Wednesday, Moran issued a public apology for Steele, saying “She is extremely remorseful about what has happened.”

Moran says Steele admits grabbing a cash box with $147 from some young children who were selling some hats and t-shirts at a July 4th neighborhood pool party in the Saint Charles Square subdivision on Sandy Plains Road.

Two of the children were trying to help their dad’s sagging embroidery business.

The victims and their families will appear on Friday morning’s Today on NBC to tell their story to a national audience.

The Sprayberry High School cheerleader had been held in the Cobb County Jail since Saturday being arrested for robbery.

Steele faces the felony charge as an adult as well as a misdemeanor charge of underage possession of alcohol…

Trial Begins in Murder of Police Officer

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

You know it is dangerous when a police officer is killed at an ATM.  It sounds like this officer was just getting ready to retire after 18 years of honorable service.  I hope these two perps die in prison.

Alfred was looking forward to an upcoming cruise.

Hugo Terry and Davin Smith are accused of killing Officer Alfred Gordon while he was using an ATM at the Pine Hills Bank of America in 2007.

The prosecution began its case by showing crime scene photographs from the night that Gordon, 52, was killed.

The evidence included photos of Gordon’s Cadillac, in which he was found shot to death with his gun with his gun lying on his side.

Prosecutors said Terry and Smith were trying to rob Gordon but ended up shooting him.

Gordon’s ex-wife, Beverly Gordon, was the first witness on the stand. She spoke about seeing him hours before his death.”We were just talking about the cruise we had planned,” Gordon said. “He said, ‘I have been at the Police Department 18 years, and in two years I can retire.’ He had talked to all three of his children on his birthday. They had corrected his heart rhythm; you know, he felt like life was ready to take an upward turn and he was just excited and happy…”

Man Beaten to Death

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

What a sad and ignominious way to go after a life of hard work.  Robbery was the apparent motive in the beating death of 82 year old Jorge Fonseca.  He was beaten so badly that there was initial confusion as to whether or not he was hit by a car.  Police have no leads but the family is optimistic the killer will be caught.

A Richmond man remembered for his love and admiration of his friends, family and neighbors has died after what police are calling a violent attack and robbery by an unknown person outside his home.murder victim jorge fonseca

A passerby found Jorge Fonseca, 82, 1305 S. Fifth St., lying in front of his home at 2:15 a.m. Friday. No one reportedly witnessed the incident and Fonseca lived alone, police said. “We’re pretty confident after looking at the scene that it wasn’t a car that hit him, but it was somebody that came up to him and hit him,” Lt. Brad Berner of the Richmond Police Department said.

Police are investigating his death as a homicide, the city’s first since January 2007, pending the outcome of an autopsy by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office in Ohio. “We really don’t have any direct leads,” Berner said. “We’re going through some information that we’ve got and going from there…”
