Author: Another bizarre, seemingly random crime. This is particularly horrible in that one of the victims was pregnant and one of the children of the victim’s witnessed the crime. This is a usually very quiet and crime-free area.

The Husteds were murdered in their home in front of one of their children.
An intruder fatally stabbed a man and a pregnant woman in their Faria Beach home, and authorities Thursday were still searching for the attacker and trying to determine what motivated the killings that shattered the quiet waterfront community northwest of Ventura.
Brock and Davina Husted, both 42, were killed about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at their home in the 4200 block of Faria Road, authorities said.
