I have to give police credit.  One doesn’t usually encounter this level of investigation after an alleged date rape.  This guy doesn’t seem to have all his marbles about him.  Just a friendly reminder, Travis: no means no.

A 22-year-old man was arrested Friday on a felony sexual battery charge after a woman told police he forced himself on her at his home, an arrest report states.

Travis Bass, of the 200 block of Gardenia Avenue, was arrested about 12:50 a.m. after saying during a police-monitored phone call with the victim that he was wrong and wasn’t thinking, the report stated.

The report gave this account:

The victim, who met Bass through a mutual friend, told investigators she went to his home and he leaned in to kiss her. She said no, but he did so anyway and they wound up kissing each other. Bass tried to remove her pants and she tried to push him off but wasn’t strong enough…
