![GREENBELT, MD -- 6/12/08 -- MD MORTGAGE 13 DAVIS -- A federal grand jury indicted eight people in a massive mortgage fraud scheme that affected homeowners facing foreclosure. The victims were left homeless and without equity through a "foreclosure reversal" scheme. Joy Jackson, her husband Kurt Fordham, of Ft. Washington MD, Jennifer McCall, husband Clifford McCall, daughter Chandra McCall, and Wilbur Ballesteros, all of Lanham, MD, and Katisha Fordham (Kurt's sister) and Ronald Chapman, both of Washington DC, were charged with conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. All except Ballesteros, Katisha Fordham and Ronald Chapman are also charged with money laundering. Md. Secretary of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Thomas E. Perez, Andre Martin. called the case, the largest of its kind in Maryland's history at a press conference today at the U.S. District Court in Greenbelt.
