Not many details on this one which is surprising since it is such a horrifying way to die.  Apparently the victim’s sister wants people to know presumably so the perp will get more than a slap on the wrist.  The perp won money in a lawsuit against Liberty University and now the family plans on going after him financially.  After the criminal justice system is done with him.

The sister of an 18-year-old woman who was killed in a Portland apartment says she wants the public to know it was no ordinary killing.

Kristen Kosnow told WGME-TV on Wednesday that detectives told her 27-year-old Chad Gurney, who’s charged with murder and arson, choked her sister, cut off her head, and set fire to her body.

Police have tentatively identified the victim as Zoe Sarnacki, a former student at Portland’s Deering High School who was living in South Portland. Her body was found in Gurney’s Cumberland Avenue apartment Monday night after firefighters were called. Gurney entered no plea at his initial court appearance…
